Winzip Free Download Windows 8
To any one like me who has just bought a new computer with Windows 8, 8.1, 10, etc... and are trying to unzip a file but cannot without a WinZip window popping up wanting you to buy it or try the evaluation version for a set amount of days; have no fear the answer is here:
Winzip Download Windows 8
You have probably searched many sites looking for answers before you came to this site. WinZip disables the native Windows zip tool that usually appears in the 'send to' menu when you right click on a file. To fix this, simply uninstall WinZip, but before you do...VERY IMPORTANT.... click 'yes' to allow WinZip to update your Windows applications. Upon uninstallation, WinZip automatically fixes your native zip tool and enables it again, but you have to give it permission to. Then WinZip disappears and you will find your zip tools appear like we are all used to with the previous versions of Windows by right clicking on a file to zip (send to zip) or unzip/extract all.
Okay, so you didn't click 'yes' upon uninstalling WinZip...., instead you clicked 'no' and now you can't find any zip tool option when you right click a file. Sorry, cannot help you. This problem extends beyond my normal user capabilities. :( My only suggestion is to follow or search for a step-by-step guide to show you how to enable your native zip tool in your settings or just download the free 7-zip everyone keeps talking about.
